Last Tuesday a friend of mine who practices Shamanism walked us though meeting our power animal. I didn’t know in advance that we were going to do this and therefore had no preconceived idea of what was going to happen.
She instructed us to go down into the earth and the first thing we see, ask it if it’s our power animal and if not move on. The first thing I saw was a squirrel. I asked the squirrel, are you my power animal? It said, “No, this way.” I followed the squirrel and met up with an Eagle. I asked the Eagle if he was my power animal. He said he was and we had a wonderful moment together. It was awesome!
Afterwards, I have to admit that I felt like it was a bit cliché. I mean who wouldn’t want Eagle as their power animal? Maybe I just wanted my power animal to be an Eagle, even though I clearly knew that I did not go in with that intention at all. As a matter of fact, I really had no idea what my power animal would be and thought it was possible I might not meet my power animal at all that night. So, I was completely open to whatever animal came my way. Still, I felt it was a bit cliché.
Two short days after connecting with my power animal Eagle and doubting it all, my daughters and I were driving on the exact same road as in the My Mystical Story post. Now keep in mind that it’s been over a year since that mystical event took place and I have not clearly seen this Eagle since that time. Driving down that same road, clear as day, you guessed it, there's an Eagle!
What better confirmation could I ask for than to see this Eagle in almost the exact same location as my previous connection, only two short days after the journey I took to meet my power animal!
To me this is confirmation that Eagle is in fact my power animal and I need not second-guess it!

My Mystical Story
Okay you guys, to get this dialogue going , I’m going to share one of my mystical stories with you. It’s a story of how spirit can speak to you in mysterious and synchronistic ways.
One morning I was really distraught and especially upset. To add to it, I was on my way to a job that, for many reasons, I was becoming increasingly dissatisfied with. As I turned out onto the road to start my long commute, I was brought to a stop at a red light just around the corner. Instead of being frustrated, I was actually a bit relieved for the opportunity to sit for a moment and collect my thoughts before heading out onto the superhighway of life.
Then, something up in the sky directly out my front windshield caught my eye. There were about four or five blackbirds dive-bombing and circling the top of this huge evergreen tree straight in front of me. I could see it perfectly. I thought to myself, what in the world are they dive-bombing up there?
I focused my eyes more closely to the very tiptop of the tree and low and behold sitting up there so magnificently was an Eagle! It was clear as day, with its distinct white head and dark body. It was huge! My mind immediately told me that it was unlikely I would spot an Eagle from this vantage point. I was within the city limits, not out in the countryside somewhere. So I blinked my eyes to clear my vision. Nope, still an Eagle. With my jaw wide open I literally said out loud to myself in the car, “Wow, cool!” I smiled and thanked spirit for the message.
But the message didn’t stop there. To make sure I received this message loud and clear and didn’t second guess or doubt myself, I was given additional confirmation.
As the light turned green, a large white box truck came around the corner. On the back of the truck it said, “Eagle Lift.” It literally had one of those electronic lifts on the back of the truck and the brand was that “Eagle Lift” brand. At that point I laughed out loud and thanked spirit again for second part of my message.
I realized that not only did I receive extra confirmation, I was also given the message that I was not alone during this difficult moment in my life . Spirit was there giving me an “Eagle Lift” and watching over me, showing me and telling me through their message that I was not alone.
If we simply open ourselves up a bit to the message spirit is trying to get us and acknowledge these messages with a thank you, no matter how small the message might seem, you will begin to notice more and more messages from spirit in your own life.
